Yes — this is a common requirement on active construction sites. Our crane truck operators are trained in rigging and load control for exactly these situations. Site conditions, scaffold height, and load weight all factor into planning, so provide as much detail as possible when enquiring.
A straightforward telehandler lift of a standard plasterboard load to a second-floor frame takes 30–90 minutes depending on volume and site conditions. Crane jobs with rigging requirements take longer. We'll give you a realistic time estimate when you book so your crew can plan accordingly.

Plasterboard, benchtops, joinery, stone, timber frames, roofing materials, glass, and palletised goods are all regularly lifted to upper floors by our team. If you have a specific material or unusual load, describe it when enquiring and we'll confirm the best approach.
We use telehandlers for most upper-floor placements — they're fast, manoeuvrable, and ideal for second and third-storey access on residential and multi-res builds. For heavier lifts or more complex angles, we use crane trucks with 15m or 21m reach. Permit requirements depend on whether the lift requires road occupation (e.g., a lane closure or parking suspension) rather than the lift itself. Our team is experienced with Adelaide City Council and outer council permit processes. If your job is likely to require road occupation, mention it when booking and we'll advise on what's needed.
Ideally, the landing zone on the upper level should be clear and structurally sound enough to accept the load. Your team should be aware of the delivery time and ready to receive and secure materials once placed. Our driver will do a brief site assessment on arrival and confirm the plan before any lifting begins.
