Frequently Asked Questions

We work regularly with suppliers and freight forwarders from Victoria, New South Wales, and Western Australia. Once your freight arrives in SA, we can receive it at our depot, manage short-term storage, and complete the Adelaide last-mile delivery on your schedule. We provide proof of delivery and keep you updated throughout.

Semis are not suitable for all residential streets due to length, turning radius, and weight limits. In many cases, we'll use a semi to deliver to a staging point and transfer to a rigid truck or Moffett for the final site drop. We assess each job individually — give us the site address and access conditions when booking.

For standard metro deliveries, 24–48 hours is generally sufficient. For large commercial jobs, interstate coordination, or sideloader container work, more lead time helps ensure smooth scheduling. Call us to discuss your timeline and we'll confirm what's achievable.

Yes — this is one of Toretto's key capabilities for interstate clients. A semi drops the load at our Para Hills West depot, we store it short-term in our secure, insured warehouse, and then deliver last-mile to your Adelaide construction site using the most appropriate vehicle for the job. This avoids double-pickup costs and simplifies your logistics chain.

A sideloader is a semi-trailer with a crane-style lifting mechanism on the side that can pick up and set down shipping containers without needing a separate forklift or crane. It's the most efficient option for container deliveries where the receiving site doesn't have unloading equipment. Toretto's sideloader is used regularly for interstate clients shipping materials into SA.

Our semis handle hebel blocks, bricks, timber, steel, tanks, pallets, scaffold, and bulk construction materials. With sideloader capability, we can also manage container pickups and drops — ideal for interstate suppliers shipping freight into Adelaide.

Semi-trailers are the right choice when load volume exceeds what a rigid truck can carry in a single run typically 20+ pallets, very long freight, or bulk materials where consolidating into one load saves time and cost. They're also used for interstate freight drops, container movements, and large commercial site re-stocks.

All Toretto heavy vehicle drivers hold current Heavy Combination (HC) or Multi-Combination (MC) licenses as required, are medically certified, and comply with Chain of Responsibility obligations under the Heavy Vehicle National Law. We manage all compliance internally no subcontractors.
