Frequently Asked Questions

All loads are secured using straps, chains, or load-specific restraints in compliance with the Load Restraint Guide (National Heavy Vehicle Regulator). Our drivers are trained in load restraint and do a pre-departure check on every job. Photo documentation is available on request.

Our primary coverage is metro Adelaide, but we service broader SA for the right jobs. Outer suburbs, regional towns, and Kangaroo Island deliveries have all been completed by our fleet. Contact us with your delivery location for confirmation.

Our drivers assist with safe unloading procedures and can coordinate with site staff. For jobs that require mechanical unloading (forklift, crane, or Moffett), this can be arranged as part of the booking. Let us know your site's unloading capabilities when you enquire.

Flatbeds work well for timber, steel, frames, hebel, bricks, turf, tanks, scaffold, landscaping materials, and mixed loads. If materials need to be palletised, strapped, or crated for safe transport, our team will advise on packaging requirements at the time of booking.

An MR (Medium Rigid) truck is smaller and better suited to tight residential streets, low-clearance sites, and smaller load volumes. An HR (Heavy Rigid) truck carries more weight and is used for larger loads or more open sites. Toretto operates both — when you book, tell us your site conditions and load size and we'll allocate the right vehicle.

A flatbed truck has an open, flat tray with no fixed sides or roof, making it ideal for loading and unloading oversized, long, or awkward materials that wouldn't fit in an enclosed truck. For construction, this means timber, steel, hebel panels, frames, pipes, and mixed loads can all be loaded efficiently and secured properly for transport across Adelaide.

Our fleet includes tray lengths from standard configurations up to 8.6m for oversized freight. This covers most residential and commercial delivery requirements across SA. If you have a specific length requirement, mention it when requesting your estimate.

Yes, subject to availability. For urgent jobs across metro Adelaide, call us directly rather than using the online form it's the fastest way to confirm if we can get a truck to you that day. We regularly accommodate last-minute resupply runs for active construction sites.
